The U.S. Embassy in Congo, in partnership with UNESCO, Pan-African Music Festival (FESPAM), and the French Embassy through the French Institute in Congo (IFC), celebrated Jazz Week from April 24-26, 2014.

Activities included a two-day workshop on jazz for young and up-and-coming musicians, hosted by a group of professional jazz bands “Congo Ndulé Jazz,” from April 24-25, 2014; and an exhibit of the Audio Heritage, which is a project retracing historical figures and major moments of the evolution of jazz by the association “Maison Culturelle Biso Na Biso.”  A lively jazz concert at the French Institute of Congo featuring young Congolese musicians and the Congo Ndule Jazz group, concluded Jazz Week on April 26, 2014. Approximately 350 people attended the concert.
