The U.S. Embassy is working to make seats available for U.S. citizens and U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents on a special commercial flight from Kinshasa N’Djili airport to Washington Dulles Airport on April 9. Travelers will be responsible for onward travel from Washington Dulles Airport (IAD) or stays in the Washington, D.C. area.
Embassy Brazzaville will facilitate the issuance of DRC visas (40,000CFA) on Tuesday April 7.
Embassy Kinshasa will facilitate on Thursday April 9, the Congo River crossing and ground transportation to the airport as we expect Kinshasa to be under confinement orders.
Please follow instructions below to express interest in this flight no later than Friday 11H30 AM. U.S. citizens are responsible for their own cost of tickets which will cost approximately $2,000 per passenger (low estimate). All passengers must have valid passports and documentation to enter the United States. Currently, this is the only way the Embassy can assist U.S. citizens to exit the Republic of Congo as international flights are suspended and borders are closed. There are no plans for future flights at this time.
